BUT...
A lot has changed since I last updated. I've graduated college, traveled to places i've never been, met some incredible people, said bye to some not-so incredible people, and well, become unemployed. I could have done without the unemployed experience but we can't win 'em all.
Honestly, being unemployed might be the most necessary thing for me right now. Its allowed me to mellow out since my last semester, spend time with my friends who I didn't have the time to see, and I'm going on a spontaneous trip to South Africa next week with a ONE WAY ticket. I haven't figured out if i've lost my mind or not, but i'm just assuming its a mid-mid life crisis and roll with the punches. Lets look at it this way, at least I didn't blow thousands of dollars on a sports car or start dating younger men....or women.
I promise to keep you updated on trip to South Africa, my unemployment life, etc. But for now i'll leave you all with a little note of advice.
Don't graduate before you've found a job. It doesn't have to be a career that pays 50 grand and up a year but ANY type of job. Even bartending jobs are becoming seasonal or hard to find.
P.S. interviews either rule or they suck. There is no in between feeling like "oh man, I'm nervous about this interview but i'll be fine once its done" feeling, but its a "wow this interview made me feel absolutely miserable and I don't want to leave my house kind of suck," or "I just drop-kicked that interview in the face and made it call me mommy" type of feeling.
Is the "...or women" an under-handed jab at shawnna ? Hehe
